Title: Given and Taken in Ink
Pairing: Jared/Jensen, Jared/Chad Michael Murray
Rating: R
Words: 30,793, beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] smidirini & [livejournal.com profile] bobbinrob
Disclaimer: *insert witty line about not owning any of it, plz to not be suing*
Summary: Author Jared Padalecki has created a sheltered existence for himself, believing that he's happy half-living his safe life. He hides behind his pen name so few people know the real Jared, as he protects himself from others finding out his books aren't 100% fiction. His new neighbour, Jensen Ackles, knows there's something different about Jared and pushes until he has no choice but to let Jensen in. When Jared's carefully constructed life collapses around him will Jensen even care who Jared really is or will Jared's worries become reality?

The banner and the alternate version are by the very lovely [livejournal.com profile] x2xbandgeekx2x. She also made icons and wallpapers and everything is GORGEOUS and HERE. Please go check everything out and leave her wonderful comments!

Title: Only Now Do I Believe
Pairing: Sam/Chris Kane
Rating: PG-13
Words: 900-ish, unbeta'd
Warnings: zombie-esque fic, real-life event related (H1N1)
Disclaimer: If I owned it I'd never share it. I'm greedy that way.
Summary: Sam told him not to worry about it when he jokingly (but not really) brought it up.
A/N: This is the first in my Request a Drabble series. I'm hoping to work on the others tonight, or at least one. As you can see, this is longer than a drabble, but I can't guarantee the others will be this long. Anyway. [livejournal.com profile] gwentastic has a hard on for Sam/Chris (Chris in general) so, of course, she requested that. Then she mentioned later that next time she would ask for something with zombies. So I ran with it. I've written more Sam/Chris stuff in the past but I've never posted it. I should get around to that someday, I suppose.

Not I. But guess who has 1,500 words of Jared/Katie porn?

That's right, bitches! Me.

I'm very excited by this. I think I'll post it tomorrow. Also, writing porn is so... awkward, I find. Because, for me anyway, when I'm writing a sex scene all the words that come into my head for description are the ones that are always those badfic indicators. Like mound and leaking and throbbing, swinging pendulum of cock ... those other ones. So then I have to sit there and think about what the hell is going on instead of staying in the moment.

What's the general way people refer to the vagina? Because you can't say vagina in fic, right? I mean, you can but it would sound weird. And people say "hole" is weird and it's just too complicated sometimes. Also, it's 1am and I'm a little loopy from the sickness and being tired and all.

There's probably an [livejournal.com profile] spnroundtable discussion about this. I'll go check that out.

WOO! Fic!

Oh, and who's writing the Jensen/Anne Hathaway fic where Jensen meets Anne while they're both on Kimmel and he finds out where the nickname "Anal Anne" came from?

THANK YOU to whoever nominated Faint Stars and Bright Satellite Skies for the Salt & Burn Awards!

I haven't been nominated for anything fic-wise since I was in Buffy so this is quite unexpected and VERY appreciated.

THANK YOU!

I booked my time off for [livejournal.com profile] winchestercon! Whee! Sure it's not for another 11 months, what of it?

Going to reply to the love meme comments, but not tonight. It's almost 11 and I'm watching the rest of Fringe (which is breaking my heart this ep, it is) and then I'm going to bed.

Title: A Woman Waits for Me
Pairing: Sam/Ruby, Sam/Kristi
Rating: PG-13
Words: 747, unbeta'd
Summary: It took Ruby a couple weeks to get back to where Sam was.
A/N: I wrote this before 409 "I Know What You Did Last Summer" so this got Kripke'd. I was okay with the way it came out, and it was one of those random, stream-of-consciousness things, for the most part. Now if only I could apply that to the fics I owe people.

My day wasn't especially shitty or even bad, really, but about a half hour ago it just got exponentially better. I want to laugh and cry and grin until my face falls off all at once.

Seeing the comments I've gotten so far on this fic is just the icing on the cake.

Title: Recount our time
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: PG-13
Words: 1600-ish, unbeta'd
Disclaimer: *does not know, means no harm, plz to not be suing*
Summary:Jared was there to greet Jensen when he stepped off the plane in July.
A/N: This is kind of the first version of this fic, but that one has porn-like stuff in it. This is the one that makes me smile and clenches at my heart, though. This is the first fic in a while that I've been excited to post and that's made me happy.

Title: Grief Pauses!
Pairing: None, gen
Rating: G
Words: 296, unbeta'd
Disclaimer: *does not know, means no harm, plz to not be suing*
Summary: This little ficlet plopped out because of this tool that was linked over at the [livejournal.com profile] autumnwrites comm (which I am failing at hardcore right now, btw). It's such an interesting little thing that gives you random words, sentences, paragraphs, phrases, etc. Most of the time they make NO sense at all but sometimes a random something will strike you a certain way, like it did here for me tonight.

I have a longer fic I'm going to post Sunday or Monday but the end of the week is never a good time to do that, especially on a week when people are taking off and fleeing for Wincon, which I wish I could be at but this year the stars just didn't align properly for me to make it. NEITHER HERE NOR THERE, however. This little brain fart came about when I had the bit "Grief pauses!" come up on my random generator. And it worked. :D

IF YOU'RE A CANADIAN PLEASE VOTE TODAY. I kind of surprise myself at how staunchly supportive I am of our democratic process. If you don't vote you have no right to complain about the state of our country and/or government if/when they do something you don't like. Remember that, eh? AND. If you didn't get a registered voter card in the mail it's stupidly easy to still vote. Take your license with you to the voter station. OR if you don't have a license, two pieces of mail (bills, etc). OR, barring that even, get someone who will go under oath to vouch for you.

Easy peasy.

Oh, hai there giant copy of True Blood for this week. Nice of you to join us, almost 36 hours later.

The weather right now apparently wants to rock me like a hurricane. I am not receptive to its advances. I'd prefer to make it to work in one piece today. :|

So back 3 weeks ago I got a comment from [livejournal.com profile] lovelyhera that she'd created a vid for me from [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis's Fandom Free-For-All. I was a bad person and forgot about it until tonight when I was trying to find a title for this fic. The result is here on Youtube. It's set to Death Cab for Cutie's "Cath" and the song is so wonderful for Donna.

Title: You're up against never being right
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: NC-17
Words: 3334, beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] missyjack
Disclaimer: *does not know, means no harm, plz to not be suing*
Summary:There are some things you really don't learn about someone until you live with them and share their space. Not that Jared was a shy guy, by any means, but now that Jensen lived with Jared, it was hard not to be privy to his inner most thoughts.

Take the night of Jared's birthday party

A/N: Aside from by big bang that I posted in June I haven't written RPS in almost a YEAR. That is SO SAD. What's even more sad is that I think I write J2 stuff every single week but it never gets finished so it just languishes in my notebooks or in my google docs. I have another fic to post after this one, as well, and I'm determined to finish the Sam/Bobby one like whoa. It's RIGHT THERE but it's being difficult. Story of the past 10 months, really.

A beta, a beta! My kingdom for a beta!

I love how yesterday Clay Aiken came out, finally, and there was nary a peep on my flist. It's a total non-event, except for the Claymates who have to face up to the cold, hard truth. There's already been a f_w report on the aftermath which was sad to read, just for the excerpts from forums where Claymates were all- "It looks like the date on the magazine is 2004. Can someone confirm for me? And other such things.

For the SPN fandom it would be like- finding out Jared and Jensen aren't in love, amirite?

35 hours!

I have written 19,156 of 150,000 words.
I am now 12.77% done!

I'm so close to 20,000! I tried to work on the other fic that [livejournal.com profile] missyjack enabled me for but I only got a bit done in that. Instead I finished another fic. A WHOLE FUCKING FIC. And this has SMUT in it!

I have a 3300-ish word fic that's in need of beta work, if anyone's interested. Google docs, indicate changes in a different coloured font rather than making them yourself, fixing flow and everything, really. Jared/Jensen, s4, no spoilers aside from that they're LIVING TOGETHER. Any takers?

So this makes two fics that I've finished to the point of me wanting to post them. The other fic I'm working on will definitely need to be gone over before I'll even send it to the beta but to do that I have to FINISH it because, yeah. So TOMORROW. Yes.

Oh, and I had firemen at my house this morning. Apparently our washer likes to smoke and shit. Nothing like getting out of the shower to be told to get dressed super quick, opening the door (after, thankfully, being clothed) and seeing a big, tall man decked out in full fireman gear to jump start your Tuesday morning.

Oh, and the drive-thru window person at Starbucks cautiously poked his head out the window at lunch when I was going through and asked if it was "snow rain" outside. It was 11C. :|

I meant to continue working on the fic that I started last night thanks to [livejournal.com profile] missyjack but a Jared/Jensen bunny bit my brain so I worked on that instead. I've been falling into a horrible trap lately of starting fics, lots and lots of fics, just to get the ideas out, and then they get neglected. Because of that one of my fic ideas has been Kripke'd but I'll probably finish it anyway since it's something I've wanted to write all summer.

I'll work on the other fic tomorrow, hopefully. I'm most excited to have written almost 4500 words in the past two days. That's a freaking miracle right now!

And yes, this icon is shareable, if anyone was wondering. It was in the icon post I made last night.

I'm only 10,000 words behind. *facepalm* I'm trying hard to write SOMETHING every night but some nights I come home and my eyes feel like sandpaper against my lids so the last thing I want to do is try to write, if that makes any sense at all.

I'm also going to try to continue on with some of the other fics I have started already, rather than keep starting new ones based on my whims for that day. The ones that I start don't get finished any faster than the older ones are.

BTW, [livejournal.com profile] missyjack is a horrible, terrible dirty girl. I'm at 2,025 right now. :| :|

Blah. I JUST tried to open an update page and LJ decided to have a PMS moment and mini-crash on me. Excellent. Notepad it is.

[livejournal.com profile] spuzz is back! [livejournal.com profile] spuzz is back! Yay!

I have decided to go ahead with making an interest icon per member of [livejournal.com profile] morbid_girls for the first 200 members. I have about 34 done so far, and I'm working on them in between working on the Sweet Charity icons. I have to do more Dean icons for that. I have to get on it!

Work is awesome this week, just because I know it's over in a few days in my current department. I've never felt more sure about my decision to leave there, even though I'm fairly certain I'll be come one of the evil "Classified girls" in the eyes of people in creative. Whatever.

There was one semi-interesting/morbid thing to come out of today, though. You've all heard about this, right? Canadian dude kills/decapitates other Canadian dude on a Greyhound bus? Yeah. Anyway. Cut for mild length )

I'm trying so hard to write. I want to write SO BADLY but when I sit down to do it or try to get the words out they sound stupid. I wrote a 16 page fic out longhand last week so I need to type that up soon and I'm tinkering with little things here and there. I want to write odd pairings but I need to get three Sweet Charity fics and an apocalypse fic done for a fic challenge sooner, rather than later. I need to stop procrastinating!
