First off, I want a freaking t-shirt. One that says, "I survived the opening, midnight show of Star Wars." It wasn't a BAD night, on the contrary it was actually kind of fun and until the midnight rush, rather slow. But holy crap. This is only the beginning. After this weekend I want an even better t-shirt that says, "Holy fuck. I survived the opening weekend of Star Wars. And now I might kill myself." Or something to that effect. Cause I'm on conf all fucking weekend. :(

Anyhoo. Went grocery shopping after my shift. At 1am. Yes. Was dead when I finished my shift, was even deader when I walked to the grocery store, around the grocery store and home from the grocery store.

And then I watched Lost. And whoa. I did a commentary to [livejournal.com profile] kantayra but then she went to bed and I retardedly closed the IM. :(:( So now I'm watching again.

How things change, eh? Walt and Michael, totally at odds at the beginning of the ep in the flashback to this- nearly cuddling together while sleeping. So sweet. And peeing! Yay! How fun is that?!

So I thought this was a Walt/Michael ep at first, obviously, but then Kantayra set me straight. It's really a whole-cast ep, which is awesome.

Ooooh! Danielle. And a high-powered rifle. How fun! But then there's fugly!turnip head, wailing his head off and bringing some focus to the ep which we find out right away cause "the others" are coming. And all the islanders can do is "run, hide or die". Again, HOW MUCH FUN IS THAT?! It's like extreme hide and seek! Like extreme frisbee, only with maiming and blood and possible decapitation.

So now everyone knows the Ballad of Craaaazy!french lady and Missing!Alex. And HA! I KNEW Alex was a girl! I KNEW IT! HA HA! *does a dance that totally belies the amount of energy I really have* And holy crap they're on their way back again. "The others", I mean. They're coming for Claire's baby cause they came for Alex, I guess. Maybe they'll come, take one look at the fugly baby and decide against it. Cause damn, people.

Teamwork, yay! Of course Jack is the one to organize everything. Cause he's Superman. Or some shit like that. Blah, blah, broken ship cakes, they push and pull and move the damn raft and then something goes wrong and everyone blames Sawyer. They should just rename the island- Jump to conclusions island.

And then there's black smoke. Whoa. Just like before.

So Danielle's all, y'all are screwed. I've got my nifty fire stick here, but you all are SCREWED. But then it cuts to the hatch where everyone (well, Locke, Danielle, Jack, Hurley, etc) discuss whether to get in it, how to get in it, what it is, who is belongs to, etc etc. Then Locke asks for dynamite and it's roadtrip time. Who says you can't find stuff to do when you're stranded on a not-so-deserted island? You can go looking for dynamite and blow shit up! FUN!

Airport land again. I heard from the lovely eonline.com behind-the-scenes Kristin article she posted today that Michelle Rodriguez was going to be on the show, but I didn't realize it would be tonight. Too bad she's kind of dead now. Possibly. Maybe.

No, Microsoft, I DON'T want to restart right now. Fuck you and your stupid updates.

Jack's ... divorced now? He's not "married anymore". So either that blonde chick died or dumped his cardboardy ass. Anna Lucia. I missed that the first time around. Michelle's name, fyi. Jack's dad's body never did show up, did it?

Jack being leader again. At least in this particular situation it's rather called for and for something interesting. But then there's Artz. What a moron. I don't get what his deal is. Is he SUPPOSED to be an asshole, is he evil, is he one of "the others"? Is he just a total retard who managed to live for the past...40 days without sporking out his own eye? Science teacher, be damned. I knew some absolutely horrid science teachers in my day.

Poor Sawyer, always blamed for everything. But damn he's gotten hot lately. It's been awhile since we've seen him shirtless so this is wonderful. SERIOUSLY. Josh Holloway has been beefing up. Yum. So he headbutted some minister of fisheries and forestry or something? Whatever. We just throw pies at our heads of government. We're all for gentle anarchy up here. So "James" is being deported. Oh well, at least they didn't find out he shot someone.

And hot damn. There's Sawyer hacking at a tree with a... machete? Whatever. Jack shows up, tries to guess what he did in the real world. I REALLY liked this scene. Jack actually trusts Sawyer with a gun on the raft. That's huge. Also unsettling that he wants him to even be prepared for an instance that they'd need a gun. And then this part, where Sawyer called Jack back? *clutches at heart* That's just amazing. Sawyer's got asshole words, but at heart he's a non!asshole. I love that Sawyer actually took the time and gathered the balls to tell Jack about this. To reveal himself as being less of an asshole. Just... awwww!

The Marshal was such a dick. We kind of already knew that, but the way he was baiting her in this scene was horrid. There's obviously more to Kate's story. She didn't just up and become a fugitive out of nowhere. I mean, obviously there's something there with her family (her mom) that made her the black sheep in that situation and with the law too. Cause she was on the lamb before she accidentally got her friend killed. So is she some sort of law enforcement official? FBI? CIA? Spy? Cause she's got skills. Something to sort out next season, I'm sure. Also for next season, the love triangle between Jack/Sawyer/Kate or even just a relationship between Kate and Sawyer. The way she looked for him before she left and he looked for her... obviously foreshadowing of something to come.

"Dear Mom, everything's fine. I'm on the island, unless, of course the black smoke people turn up. Love, your name here." Charlie's funny in this scene. And so is Hurley. "Don't look at it." Now I SO want to know what's on his paper. Maybe he wrote the numbers and cursed the raft.

Awww. Goodbyes. I love/hate goodbyes all at once. It's always sad when someone leaves but then there's angst, which is okay too.

Check out Locke checking out Danielle. OTP, clearly. And where DID Danielle get those scratches?

Artz being a dick again. "I think Leslie's a bitching name." HURLEY LOVE! They'd better never kill Hurley off. Garcia was the first person cast, after all. It'd be a shame to ruin that amazing casting. More Artz dickage. He leaves and then comes back, sounding like a dog in heat or some shit. Like- wtf? Nothing like alerting the monster to your whereabouts by screaming like a banshee. I originally thought someone had been captured and was being tortured and we were going to get to see them hanging upside down being flayed or something or that Artz had caught the sickness that Danielle talked about. No such luck either way.

Awww. Sawyer brought the mast. He's so hot/sweet.

So the monster is a security system for the island. Why did Locke not run though? Why did Danielle? What does he know that she hasn't? Has she even seen this thing? How can she NOT have, after living there for 16 years? Questions, questions.

This next scene? The one between Shannon and Walt? OH WOW. I don't know what it is about it but it seriously got to me. Shannon's reaction to what Walt was saying... it really hit me. And then they balanced that with a scene of Shannon being a total bitch. *facepalm* But on the other hand, it really shows how much has changed in Shannon's life and how she's changed.

More prep to leave.

Now for the Black Rock reveal. The first time I watched I had no clue what I was looking at and was rather disappointed. I thought it looked like abstract art or something but then Jabtatra told me it was a ship or something. So this time through I actually got close to the tv and really looked at it and indeed! It is a ship. So what does that mean? Cause it's an older ship, not something that Danielle would have been stranded on and certainly not like the ships they build today. And how did it get all the way inland like that and WHY is it there? Was the dynamite always on the ship or did Danielle stash it there?

Sun/Jin flashback. Wow, ignorant english speaking lady. Turn up the bitch control, eh? Another heart breaking scene. Sun giving Jin the list of words translated for him to learn? OH MY GOD. And then apologising and making up? SO SAD! Also, because as Jabtatra and I discussed, Jin is fairly expendable now. He doesn't have that much working for him anymore/yet. So sad if he drowns or gets shot or eaten by a shark or something.

The launch scene? Walt with Vincent and Jin touching the fugly!baby and Michael and Sun saying goodbye and Charlie giving the bottle of notes to Sawyer and SAWYER LOOKING FOR KATE? *dies* Seriously, this KILLS me. And then when Vincent ran into the water after Walt but he was telling him to go back? *dies a lot more*

As beautiful/sad as this scene was, a part of me was wondering how funny it would be if it just suddenly sank. Kersplat. But the proud, triumphant score clearly wouldn't allow it.

This amazing scene capped with a parting shot of the column of smoke...

This was seriously an AMAZING episode. It was a beautiful episode, full of action and mystery and intrigue and set up for a killer finale. I'm so in love with this show. SO IN LOVE. I'm going to be beside myself next week cause I have to work again so I'll have to watch the two-hour finale once I get home after 11:30. *DEAD*

CTV didn't air a promo for next week but the ABC one looked AMAZING. The only part of it I had an issue with was when Jack asked who brought them there [to the island] and Locke said that the island did. I just have an issue with that. Maybe cause it's always Locke going on about the damn island and he needs to get a new schtick. I don't know, it's just frustrating.

So who's taking Claire's baby? Danielle? Alex? Some other "other"? Someone from the castaways?

This show is so fulfilling and frustrating at once. Even if this season turns out to be the very best it ever can be, it's amazing. Beautifully shot and prepared, a wonderful cast of characters (although some leave something to be desired at times...) and a really gripping storyline (that, too, can leave something to be desired but we can't be happy ALL the time). Everyone was damn cool in tonight's ep. Even Jack and Charlie. And that's saying something.

Needless to say, I can't WAIT for the finale. EEEEE!

I didn't watch Alias. I couldn't be bothered to record it. Whatever. Boring. And there's no more Veronica Mars. :( *sad*

I did see Crash and Unleashed recently though. Crash was good, still don't know what I think of it though. It was funny and certain parts were very touching/moving/had an impact. But overall I don't know how I liked it. Sandra Bullock was in it and did a great job. In fact, one of her final scenes touched me the most. I think it was SUPPOSED to move me in places but I really didn't feel it, it was a little forced. Usually I cry like a baby in these things, but not so much here. I'd recommend it though. It WAS a good movie.

Unleashed not so much. It isn't all kicking/punching/action. Which is what I was looking forward to. It actually tried to have plot. Lame plot. Morgan Freeman's daughter in the movie was annoying. Jet Li was... yeah, annoying. The whole premise was totally suspended from reality (I know you all don't think it's possible, I mean, a JET LI movie? Not based in reality? NEVER!). It wasn't even ha ha bad or bad!fic bad. It was just sort of lame. The fighting scenes were good but the plot was bad but there weren't very many fight scenes at all really. So... yeah. Crash yes, Unleashed no.

Maybe I'll actually get some writing done tomorrow. Wouldn't that be fun?

Fuck you again, Microsoft. I DON'T want to reboot!
