I am so fucking over the goddamn Chuck and Blair drama on Gossip Girl. Can those people act their age or what? They're supposed to be like- 19 fucking years old but the writers create them storylines that belong with 40 year olds with substance abuse issues. SO OVER IT. It's irritating.

And I'm being totally honest about that.

Words can't describe what a change today is from last week, even though it wasn't even THAT good. I mean, in comparison it was amazing but seriously, so much beter.

Got my schedule for the part time job and I heart it through April. It's just enough for me and I have some variety and it's awesome. Plus? I'm not working tonight, which is AWESOME as I haven't had a Monday off, aside from being sick, since October.

I'm still enamoured of my new hotass purse. ( Have I showed you my new hotass purse? )

I have a new layout. I don't know how long I'll keep it because it might be too light for me but I've been looking at it for a few months now and I finally got up the ... gumption, I guess, to change things.

And I wrote something last night. I'd set the sleep mode on my tv and was drifting off when this image hit me and I immediately got up, turned on the light and scrambled for a pen. I haven't felt the urge to write ANYTHING, let along like THAT, in MONTHS. Today I feel like a new person.

I can't say it's good or anything but I'm going to type it up and try to post it tonight. It's for The Vampire Diaries and I have no fucking idea where it came from but I just love that I wrote something and finished it and it wasn't forced. For anyone who's ever gone through an extended period of writer's block and felt helpless and like it was gone forever knows the relief I feel. Today I don't even feel tired even though I didn't get the sleep I should have. SO HAPPY.

Oh, and more on the job/money front, there's some woman my desk buddy's been corresponding with who will hopefully email an ad into us tomorrow regarding getting paid $14/hr to do some calling at home for Heart & Stroke canvassers or some shit. Oh, so many shows on right now. I tuned in for One Tree Hill (why, oh why?) and Gossip Girl (once again it has sucked me in). I'll be posting caps for Gossip Girl soon (but it's not going to be a weekly thing. I just really wanted caps from the episode) and I have the Melrose Place caps ready to go but I might wait and post them tomorrow or the next day with the caps from tomorrow's ep.

So now we've reached the end of our season 2 journey with True Blood. I have to say, I'm kind of glad it's over. I always get that way at the end of the season because I need some time to reflect on everything that's happened, formulate some theories, put pieces together and get excited for it again. I'm posting this for my own records. I wrote 1506 words today in two separate documents in my quest to write 150,000 for

autumnwrite. One was a Ruby fic that I've started over and over about four times in the past and one was a bit from an original idea I have that may or may not ever see the light of day.

I have written 1,506 of 150,000 words.
I am now 1% done!

I'll have caps for both Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill but not until tomorrow. I think the only show I'm going to be losing sleep for with the caps will be SPN this year. Especially since Doctor Who, Torchwood and Skins don't come back until 2009 in various forms.

I also don't see myself capping anything but SPN, OTH and GG this season, although I might drop either OTH or GG, depending on how those seasons go this year.

The quiche I mentioned wanting to make earlier today turned out really well! I accidentally bought two pie crusts, doubled the recipe and now my dish is the feature for tomorrow night's dinner. Not too bad for my first time, I would say. :)

05) I don't know who holds the damn egg timer for SPN fandom but I wish they'd get rid of it. 'Oh, we're on hiatus? DING! Fandom's done!' I already commented with my thoughts on the matter of this thing when it reared its ugly head around 3.09 here. This time I can't work up the energy or the concern to post anything more about it. As it is I'm going to re-evaluate my happy places in fandom over the summer and look at stressors, what inspires me to get involved and the people around me. That sounds more ominous than it really is, and a lot of this is left-over school panic stuff affecting me but I've already made some minor changes and I'm way happier with fandom since then. I'm going to do what I can to stay in love with this show, the characters and the parts of fandom I want around me.

06) My Big Bang posting date is June 25! I'm excited just to have the extra time to edit it. To be totally honest, I haven't looked at it since last Monday. I was planning on bearing down and working like mad over the next week. But now I have a whole MONTH to procrastinate.

Um... that's not a good thing to say, right? I'll start working on it, I swear. I have a sticky on my computer and everything!

I'm going on my third week with CW channel access and only ONCE while I've been watching the channel (which I watch probably 4-5 times a week) I've only had to change it in a hurry ONCE to avoid seeing an SPN promo. COME ON, CW! Even YOU can afford to promote it more than that. I didn't need to see 154 promos for "Farmer Wants a Wife" a couple weeks ago but I suffered through them. *rolls eyes*

OMG OMG OMGOMMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. Twilight trailer! TWILIGHT TRAILER! I know the movie is going to be so bad and cheesy, just like the books, only LIVE AND IN COLOUR but HOLY SHIT. I SO want to see that movie. RIGHT NOW. I remember reading the blow-by-blow someone involved with the movie posted to IMDB, I think, about the teaser (and likely got fired over) and it was amazing then. It was even more amazing SEEING the damn thing.

As of the last time I checked my fic still hasn't been claimed for art over at

spn_j2_bigbang, which kinda sucks, but there are WAAAAAAY fewer artists (like, less than half? Maybe? Does anyone know the exact numbers?) than writers this year so it's to be expected. 112 fics, people! 112! How awesome is that? My fic is near the bottom of the list on the J2 list so it's easy to be overlooked, especially when people are skimming through, trying to find the first fic that catches their fancy to claim it before someone else does.

I appreciate every single comment I get on my cap posts. There are often too many comments to respond to every single one of them but I try my best to respond to any questions somewhat promptly (month-old comments ftl!). It takes me well over 3 hours from downloading to posting to get all the caps up, and usually moreso to finish the galleries, but it only takes a few seconds to leave a comment saying 'thanks'. It may not seem like much but I like seeing that people enjoy the effort. :)

I'm all moved in and unpacked! I still have some boxes and suitcases and whatnot packed because if I'm leaving in a few months there's no point in finding places for all my winter clothes and whatnot.

Can anyone recommend a better (faster) wireless receiver than D-Link? It's okay the way it is but I'm not seeing THAT much of a difference from the res internet with some things. The torrents were way faster but some things aren't. I don't know if that's my impatience, that some things are JUST that slow or my d-link receiver. I know d-link isn't the best product so if you know of other, better ones, please let me know.

I've only been back a little over 24 hours and I've already watched almost half of Veronica Mars season 1. There's a channel up here that airs the eps at 5am and I've caught a few of them, which made me want to go back and re-watch again. I don't know if I'll want to see all of s3 this time around (for the first time, in fact) but we'll see. I'll dl them if I have to. One thing about not having satellite or cable up here (right now?) is that I get to watch all of my boxed sets and dvds and whatnot, some for the first time!

Saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall tonight. LOVED it. So funny. I'm excited for the dvd already. Mila Kunis is a TOTAL girl crush now. I'm even making quote icons from it. SO MUCH FUN! I liked it better than Knocked Up but maybe not as much as 40 year-old Virgin. Maybe a little more. I don't know. Either way, awesomesauce all around. And Jason Segal? Has nothing to be ashamed of. ;)

I don't know what's changed from the start of the season and now. I tried this show when it first started airing and I just couldn't get into it. It really wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Then I caught the Christmas episode and I totally re-discovered the show. I was quite excited for this episode and am getting moreso for the rest of the season. Bring on the bitchiness!
