I'm sure there's an extreme amount of guilt involved with being a witness to a guy's death who you encouraged to basically hand himself over the Grim Reaper. But come the fuck on. Didn't Serena ever see that after school special with the girls with eating disorders who did everything together and then when one of them dies the other one feels guilt for pushing her to eat less, barf more and run farther? But then she has a near-death experience herself and the angel of her friend comes to visit her and says it's not her fault and she should get healthy? Maybe it was one of those old school NBC Monday night movies of the week and I'm getting confused. Perhaps the CW is trying to remind people of those hedy wild days.

Either way, that's what the outcome of this much-hyped storyline has reminded me of and man was it laaaaaaame in the end. I know we're meant to believe that when characters are in binds like this that they'll make drastic decisions that don't seem to make any sense but like- MAKE THEM MAKE ONES THAT DO, THEN! Dan was in school with you, Serena. He remembers you and the way you are. I'm sure he would have been a little more... understanding? Supportive? Whatever. Neither here nor there. I think what rubbed me the wrong way about that whole wishy-washy "I can't tell you" shit in this episode was when Serena said that Dan puts her on a pedestal. I can't put my finger on why, but it did and it was very ugh-inducing.

I want this to be the end of Dan and Serena, really. Dan's just more fun when he's not with her. And she really needs to stop being so goody-goody. Not to the lengths that she has been but getting into some trouble with the gang. I really enjoyed the group dynamics in this episode. Everyone coming together, uniting to fight a common evil. Especially when they were all reminding each other of who they've slept with and, in Chuck's case, how much.

Which was Georgina. I don't even know what she expects to come of her brief dalliance with Dan, really. Because as soon as everyone tells him who she really is and Serena spills her deep, dark secret to him (personally I think telling Lily would have been MUCH higher on my list of DNW than telling Dan) he's going to dump her like nothing else. I kind of hope they sleep together or she gets him to do something wild before then, though. And then DAN will be the one sullied in Serena's eyes. That would be fun. They really need to jazz Dan up, anyway.

And my hope for Serena/Chuck lurks in the back of my mind. Even if it was on a fuck buddy basis or they're just super close or something. After this whole thing I ope things don't go back to Serena 'hating' Chuck and taking for granted what he's done for her. What everyone's done for her. I would loooooove to see them get together!

As I was watching the 90's spotlight or whatever that venue was called for Rufus' band and everyone else I couldn't help but feel really, really bad for Lisa Loeb. The woman hasn't changed since the 90's at all. Same hair, same glasses, same everything. I have to wonder if, by this point, she doesn't hear that song 'Stay' and want to beat her guitar over the head of the nearest person. What got me the most was that they didn't even get her to sing it live (I know tv shows often just use the canned version for 'live' shows but it would have been SO much cooler!) so it was EXACTLY the way it sounds on the recorded song. Felt kind of like a gyp.

Rufus' band's song, however, was awesome and I'm looking forward to a complete version of the song coming about from it. *crosses fingers*

I'm looking forward to the finale next week just to see the Georgina storyline come to an end. I've heard rumours that she might stick around which.... no. She's fine for a few episodes but I just can't really stand having her around, not just because of her character, but because of who's playing her. You know that if Buffy ever finds out how naughty Dawn's being she's going to come kick her ass big time!

As far as Lily and Rufus go, the kiss was sweet and all but Rufus! She's not going to stay with you! And Lily! I don't think he'll ever consent to having an affair with you on the side! For one, Mr Bass would break your legs and for another, you've been on the other side. You don't want to do it to anyone else, no matter who they are. We'll just have to wait for another half season or something for another kiss, I'm sure.

Know what's kind of sad? I'm going on my third week with CW channel access and only ONCE while I've been watching the channel (which I watch probably 4-5 times a week) I've only had to change it in a hurry ONCE to avoid seeing an SPN promo. COME ON, CW! Even YOU can afford to promote it more than that. I didn't need to see 154 promos for "Farmer Wants a Wife" a couple weeks ago but I suffered through them. *rolls eyes*
