There's presumably going to be things coming from the SPN panel at Comic Con today and while my flist is usually really good at cutting for show spoilers I'd also really encourage people to cut or avoid mentioning any gag reel spoilers.

I know, I know. It seems stupid to ask that since none of the info on the gag reel is stuff we haven't seen before as far as plot goes but I know that, for me, one of the best things about getting that official season dvd copy in my hands is that I get to watch the gag reel. In colour, on the screen as big as I want, non-shaky from wobbly camera footage, etc. It's one of the BEST THINGS about the dvds for me and part of the reason I pay the money for them. So I'd really, REALLY like to not have that ruined for me just yet.

I know there are others who feel this way and others who don't consider the gag reel cuttable. But please, just be considerate to the people who want to wait for the dvds. Pretty please?

I had another dream kind of related to the one I had last weekend. I can't for the life of me figure out what any of it means, either, because every site I go to says something different. Whatever. It's just WEIRD and I have to admit, it's unsettling.

Okay, so I read that casting spoiler because everyone's reposting it and it's too early for REAL spoilers and... thoughts on it )

My back is KILLING me today. And some judge overturned the decision to overturn (following me here?) the ruling that soft tissue injuries be capped at $4000. So everyone was all willy nilly suing people, causing insurance rates to go up, they were capped at some point at $4000. One judge overturned that but today another judge stepped up and overturned the overturned decision. So we still have caps. UGH.

Also, work blows, I'm exhausted and thank GOD it's Friday. That is all.

Is that Entertainment Weekly feature that was published a couple weeks ago spoilery for last night's episode (419) only? Or does it go on about more stuff in s4? Cause I'd like to read it but had to skip by it as I was reading the magazine when I got it.

Just have to get through pages today and I'm free for four days! WHEE!

oh, fuck me

Someone on my flist warned last night about the spoiler at [livejournal.com profile] ohnotheydidnt and I didn't go last night. But today being TODAY, I went.

Fuck, fuck, fuck.

I don't know how major this spoiler is in the grand scheme of things since I'm totally in the dark about what's to come but it seemed kinda fucking huge to me. Please do not comment as to the scale of the spoiler, if you know what it is.

*sigh* Lamesauce.

Anyway. I wanted to wash Edward yesterday but since everything's melting hardcore around here and I'm driving through massive ruts and giant puddles there's no point. Sad because he needs a scrub badly. All this warmer weather we've been having here is so misleading because it's only the beginning of February. We still have at least another month of hardcore winter, and that's an optimistic estimate.

Saw Push last night. It was okay. Visually appealing, very colourful. I'd rent it but I don't know if I'd buy it.

CW Exec Says Network Still Supports 'Supernatural'
Wednesday, January 23, 2008

When the CW announced its new midseason schedule, the fact that Supernatural reruns were nowhere to be found caused an uproar in the fan community. Fans of the series saw this as being yet another setback for the Winchester boys, which was especially painful since the show is already in a terrible time slot and gets little promotion. The good news is that the outcry from the fans did not go unheard. The CW's network communications executive, Paul McGuire, recently sent an e-mail to About.com where he emphatically stated that the network still stands behind Supernatural.

"The CW is very supportive of Supernatural and continues to be," McGuire stated. "The show continues to deliver strong episodes viewers like yourself have embraced. The move to air encores of Reaper Thursdays at 9 is an attempt to get sampling for that show, which is in its first season, unlike Supernatural, which is a proven veteran."

While it's nice to hear a CW executive refer to Supernatural as a "proven veteran," it still doesn't seem particularly supportive for the network to completely remove the show from the schedule. If they wanted to temporarily move it in order to give new Reaper episodes more exposure, that'd be fine. However, the least they could have done is schedule some Supernatural reruns for another night. I'd recommend Wednesdays at 9pm, which is when encore episodes of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious will be airing. We don't even need that airing once a week, much less twice.

For fans who are worried that Reaper might become a breakout hit in the time slot and further bury Supernatural, I wouldn't be concerned. Reaper currently averages about 500,000 fewer viewers, and despite the CW's hopes, isn't likely to gain more while it's up against new episodes of Lost on ABC. If the CW really wants to show their support for the Winchesters, they'll bring Supernatural back to the schedule as soon as possible.

You can also enter to win an autographed t-shirt signed by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in BuddyTV's Supernatural giveaway. Start by visiting this thread in our forum and letting us know your favorite episode of Supernatural. Then all you have to do is click here to take our TV trivia quiz. The person who scores the highest number of points in the trivia quiz between now and 9pm on January 31 will win the prize.

Slight episode spoiler for an upcoming episode (not sure which one as I DON'T SPOIL MYSELF FOR THAT) at [livejournal.com profile] supernatu_icons. It's not huge but it's a title/character spoiler and it's more than I knew/wanted to know. Also at another comm that I can't say for spoiler reasons. Just... watch yourself, I guess. :( :( :(

Also. I just read that the next new episode isn't until January THIRTY-FIRST?! Oh, lord. I'm renting a bus and putting together a group rate for a trip to a cave somewhere isolated. We're going to be like those Kid Nation kids and make our own civilisation and have lots of smores. Anyone want to join [livejournal.com profile] lostt1, [livejournal.com profile] gwentastic and myself on such a venture?

I did the The Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave you met ____? Meme So, you know, suggest people, I guess.

I'm exhausted. I went on a total cleaning frenzy today. I think I might have shocked the shit out of my mom. Tomorrow, possible bathroom painting, tree decoration and settling in for a pre-Christmas storm.

Fuck.

Well, I was just spoiled for something in tonight's episode EIGHT MINUTES before the episode airs. Thanks, flist. Once I post the NL I'm avoiding LJ for the rest of the night.

Anyone interested in having a SPOILER-FREE AIM chat? People who have to dl the episode or won't get to see it live for awhile? Let me know and I'll set it up.

If anyone wants to give me some prompts for drabbles or ficlets or something- Sam/Dean, Sam/Ruby, Jared/Jensen, Jared/Sandy--leave them here.

Jesus CHRIST! People on facebook? STOP PUTTING SPOILERS IN THE TRIVIA QUESTIONS, YOU FUCKERS. Guess what? The name of the new female is NOT COMMON KNOWLEDGE. STFD, fuckers or DIAF. I just had to report FOUR questions in a row because they were spoilers and one was just PLAIN RETARDED.

MUFF.

Wincon report to come tonight when I've finished resizing the pictures. And stopped playing around in Facebook, obvs. :D :D

I should SO BE IN BED right now. I have to be up in less than four hours now for work but I just posted my [livejournal.com profile] spn_heraea fic and then refreshed my flist one more time (that's always the way, isn't it?) and saw this post by [livejournal.com profile] winterlive that finally made sense to me in all this spoiler talk.

I know I made a joke just a few weeks ago about ducking and covering from s3 spoilers and some people were curious as to whether there were any yet and I basically said, "Not yet, but they're coming." And lo, then there were spoilers.

But fer the love a christ, people! We're not even ONE MONTH from the s2 finale. We're MORE THAN one month until they start filming. Until Jared and Jensen even SET FOOT in Vancouver again (well, Jared's movie notwithstanding- is he still filming?). I don't know what the spoiler is. I don't WANT to know what the spoiler is (And please don't hint at it or say I'd want to know or what I'd do if I DID know). Because I see all the reaction from everyone, all the hate and all the "mehs" and my mind goes places. I think things and get everything all worked up in my head and then I break and go looking for the damn thing and it's NEVER AS BAD AS I THINK. Or as good or WHATEVER.

Sit back, take a break, have a fruity drink with an umbrella in it. I'll be the first to say that I've been burned in the past with cerain shows and trusting in their creators. I went into s2 of SPN with that attitude. And look at what we got- one of the best seasons of television I've ever seen. I fell in love with Kripke this past season and the boys (Jared and Jensen AND Sam and Dean) even more because they're so dedicated to the show and the work they bring to us every week.

Can't we all take a break for just a week or two to settle, enjoy the summer, enjoy each other and read some BigBang? Read some schmoop vs angst fic? Read some tentacle porn? ANYTHING OTHER THAN FREAKING OUT ABOUT SOMETHING WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER. Seriously, let Kripke do his job. You don't like the way the show is SEEMING to be going right now? (There's still OVER A MONTH, PEOPLE) I don't like the bus runs late sometimes or that the wind knocks out my electricity or that I sometimes have to wait on people who smell like kitty litter tray amonia and old cheese! But I have NO CONTROL over any of that. Please, just let Kripke do his job and don't jump on his balls as soon as there's a whif of something that for the first couple episodes or just one episode or a half an episode or thirty seconds doesn't seem cool.

I know what we can do! Talk about Jim Beaver's interview (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kayim for the heads up) and how adorable he is! I love that he calls Jared and Jensen "the JJ's". ALSO ALSO! From the sounds of it, filming starts July 16th, which makes sense as that's a Monday AND AND AND! MY BIRTHDAY! *wibble!foams* *smooshes on Jim Beaver* Maybe we'll get some Bobby backstory this season?

*puts on "Spoiler Free for Season Three" tinhat and sits in bubble with a good book and a bottle of tequila*

Does anyone else who was spoiler-free for Supernatural or tried as hard as they could to stay spoiler free find themselves still recoiling in horror over the word spoilers or treading lightly into areas where there could be spoilers? I KNOW I can't get spoiled now and everything's out in the open but it's like I'm paranoid I'll be retroactively spoiled or something!

I still haven't even sought out all the stuff that I skipped when I was avoiding it all- like the coffee time interview and all the other articles and clips and everything. :| :| I think I might be more paranoid now then I was when the show was still airing new episodes, as if someone's going to slip in spoilers for season 3 when I'm not looking or something.

Oh, SHOW. This is what you do to me.

I am loving that more people are starting to it's still a spoiler for a week, right? )

Also, hello to new friends! *waves* And I'll be posting caps later today, as well. I love holiday Mondays!

1) I may need a spoiler intervention. I'm slipping in my resolve. I started peeking into the most recent interview with Kripke and Singer and had to yank myself back out. SOMEONE HELP ME!

2) NEW SPN HOMG. HOMG. Also, BEN AND JERRY'S. (I swear, I look forward to Thursdays for the ice cream as much as the show).

3) If you want to come chat IM me. Marishnas on AIM. I'll be gone during the episode but back ASAP after.

4) I haven't actually started my [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang fic yet but it's CONSTANTLY in my head. Kinda like syphilis.

So you put your spoilers and talk about spoilers behind an LJ-cut. GREAT. Thanks for that, really. BUT WHEN YOU MENTION THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE FUCKING SPOILERS IN THE CUT TAG IT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE.

I've already been spoiled by a link posted by someone without ANY warnings of spoilers that led to an article about a guest star TALKING ABOUT BEING ON THE SHOW and now I find myself in a random journal (someone who's already proven themselves to be a shit anyway, so I probably SHOULD have known better) and they're cutting for spoilers but mentioning WHAT THE FUCKING SPOILERS ARE ABOUT IN THE TAG.

It's not that big a deal, I know that. So I know who's going to be on the show. But you know what? With the REACTIONS I've been hearing from people regarding the spoilers (thanks so much for talking about those out in the open, too, btw) I'm starting to put things together and it's making me get a bad feeling about things that could be coming for the season. And I DON'T WANT THAT. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's all hunky-dory and I'll love it and fuck to everything and everyone else. The point is that people can put two and two together and figure it all out before anything happens just from hearing whispers. And that SUCKS.

THIS IS WHY YOU CUT EVERYTHING ABOUT SPOILERS. Moods, reactions, pictures, GUEST STARS, potential casting- EVERYTHING. Is it THAT hard to cut a whole post dedicated to discussion on an episode or spoilers people haven't seen or don't know about yet and put "spoilers for casting" or "spoilers for episode 2.10" OR WHATEVER. Is it THAT hard?

I guess I just expect too much. I have a fairly considerate and conscientious friends list who I don't have to worry about too much (and this rant is not directed toward anyone ON my flist) but I just didn't think that everyone outside of my little bubble would be complete and utter fucking ASSWIPES about things. Grow a brain.

This rant brought to you by the Fucking Pissed-Off and Spoiled Sisterhood of Get Your Head out of your Fucking Ass, you dickwads.

So I got an invite for Vox. I really don't know what the deal is or even if I'll use it. It might go the way of my MySpace (read: never use it EVER) or, if there's a mass exodus from LJ, I may jump right on board like a sheep.

The whole concept is a little murky to me, especially with the needing invites to GET a Vox account and then ANOTHER invite to even post in the damn thing. Does anyone know if you HAVE to get invited to post or if you eventually get an invite anyway or what?

In other matters- Supernatural spoilers are afoot. I am going to try my very, very best this viewing season and remain as spoiler free as humanly possible. I have resisted thus far and I'd like to keep it this way. This is my plea to you:

Please be aware of what you're posting. I'm not going to threaten to defriend someone who posts spoilers uncut or whatever (mostly because I have faith that 99.8% of the people I have friended are smarter and value their lives more than that because some other people on my flist are MAD serious about being spoiler free) but I will likely move you to default and that's the first step in being defriended for me. Once I take you off default I don't read you and eventually cut you because I don't know you.

It's obvious that big things need to be cut and clearly labeled (which, to this point, I have seen and appreciated. Even though my fingers were twitching on the mouse to click the cuts the whole time...) but I think people forget about reactions/mood themes/cryptic statements sometimes. I'm on your flist which means I more than likely read you on a more-or-less daily basis. I know your likes and dislikes in a fandom. I know who you ship, who you hate, what you want to see, what you would rather die than see.

Posting things like "Spoiler reactions under the cut!" is cool but when your mood theme is set to excited or sad or distraught or WHATEVER, it can give me an idea of what you just read/posted about. Reactions outside of the cut, even if you think they're vague can also be just as spoilery. Saying something like- "I won't speak of the spoilers except to say, 'I knew it'." or something to that effect tells me A LOT and more than I want to know.

I'm not going to stomp my foot and demand that people post a certain way or leave things out of their posts, I'd just like everyone to be aware of what they're putting in their posts, especially outside of cuts. I won't be pissed off if I'm spoiled or hate you but I'll probably be disappointed or more, depending on what I've learned. It's hard enough doing [livejournal.com profile] spnnewsletter with spoilers afloat, let alone trying to dodge things on my flist so like everyone else, I'd just like to make it as easy as possible. :)

Less than two weeks till my birthday!
