I decided to go through and make all my caps accessible in one easy post, rather than looking through that damn tags list. Also, now I can just link this post rather than every single cap post I've ever made when I continue with my memories overhaul.

All caps with active links have been added to this list. There were A LOT more Prison Break and Veronica Mars caps posted but they were all on megaupload and I can't be arsed to re-upload them.

PLEASE READ THIS
I enjoy sharing the caps I make for people on LJ. I make them for my own purposes and to get the scenes/shows that I want for graphics but, really, what am I going to do with thousands of caps? So I share them so other people can use them for the same purpose.

If you have a fansite for a show/actor/whatever PLEASE ASK me before you upload them to said site. I'll most likely say yes. I know that I don't have the rights to the images but I put the time and effort into capping them for people to use. I appreciate knowing where they're going and for what purposes and to know there's some credit shown as a nod to the work that goes into capping/sorting/zipping/uploading to web space that is graciously donated to me for this use.

A heads up and courtesy is all I ask, thanks!

All links lead to posts where caps can be downloaded through zip files. Some may also have gallery links and will be indicated.

I have the flu so I've been home for the past couple days. Ugh. My stomach's still in turmoil but I want to go to work tomorrow because I'm kinda bored and I don't know. But I don't like having ickiness in the staff bathroom. Conflict.

Since I've been home I've had time to read over the new news post here. Basically, if you've been under a rock, LJ has ever so conveniently altered the comment function so you can crosspost your comments to automatically crosspost to Facebook and/or Twitter.

NOT ONLY can you apply this to your own posts but you can go into someone else's post and crosspost comments from their entries. Including their locked and/or filtered entries if you're able to see their locked and/or filtered entries, that is.

dysonrules did an experiment of how the commenting and crossposting works and it's like this. Charming, no? So if you happened to use an icon made from a porn gif or a Harry/Snape macro or a questionable quote or ANYTHING it can lead to awkwardness, among other things. That's just on a fandom level. Already people have brought up the issue of stalkers, exes, parents, extended family, etc. I have both of my bosses on FB, even! My FB is quite limited to who I friend and, as far as I can tell, I've tightened the "security" on it as much as I can. There are a couple fandom people on there, just as I have a couple RL people on my LJ but it is just that--a couple. If I wanted those two worlds to collide I'd've done it myself a long time ago. I don't need LJ to act as the gravitational interference, thanks.

Apparently LJ is 'here' and they're compiling data from the THOUSANDS of comments left so far. There are also a couple polls in the comments of that thread about this new brilliant idea. Never mind that had they, I don't know, ASKED or run this by a panel of actual users or something before implementing it, thinking we'd LOOOOOOVE this new development, they'd have learned that, no, people don't want their comments crossposted because otherwise we'd do it ourselves.

I get that people take your private info and spread it wherever you want anyway (if they're a douche, that is) but now it can be done accidentally and at least if it was done on purpose it would take more effort to copy/paste it AND if you want to format it the same way LJ helpfully provides that would take even more effort. And if someone else is going to spread your private info everywhere, odds are they're not going to provide a linkback to the actual post, as in the LJ-provided links.

So yeah. I hate this idea. I hate it like I hate ... things I hate. People have also mentioned that the rights over content at each site are different so if someone else posts what you've done here on LJ under one presumption, now it's on FB and changes. SO YAY! Even more fail to roll around in, LJ!

In short (didn't mean to ramble on), please don't crosspost anything you say here onto FB or Twitter. The Twitter I don't really get bc it's 140 characters and most comments are longer but the sentiment still stands. If I wanted my shit there, it'd be there. The end.

OH! P.S. LJ says they're aware of and are working on the fail in tags using a /. Priorities! LJ has them.

I started to watch the Emmys tonight but I quit an hour in. I don't watch any but maybe one or two shows that were actually nominated (Community is the only sitcom I watch that's not syndicated and in re-runs ad naseum), I really didn't think the opening was that great or cool (seriously, how desperate and pathetic is NBC that the had to play on the premise of another network's hit show? I liked seeing Joel McHale, Tim Gunn and didn't realize Nina Dobrev was in the dance on stage until the end when people were all, "OMG! It's Nina!" and then in was over) and I thought the "comedic" voice overs and Q&A sessions were strained and awkward.

Normally I like awards shows but I guess since I don't have a vested interest in any of the nominated shows or actors it's hard to me to care. And the awkwardness and forced humour in everything exasperated me. Often the jokes in any awards show tread on annoying but tonight they pushed me over the edge. I don't know.

I signed up for a ballroom dancing class to start in September. I hope I like it. Was supposed to take it with a girl from my department but the class filled up before she could get in the one I'm doing so she's doing the one the next day. I don't know if I'm happy or disappointed because sometimes I really enjoy her company and other times I feel like talking over her because I can't stand listening to her. I don't know if that's just a personality thing with me and her or if it's where I am right now in my head. I don't like feeling like that, regardless.

I'm still struggling. I thought I was doing better, and I am when it comes to the desolate feelings, but now I'm passing into more frustrated/angry feelings and then not feeling anything at all. The only place I feel like I'm on an even keel is at work and that's because a) I don't want to lose my shit there and b) I don't have any time to. I guess that's a good thing?

I watched a number of movies this weekend--Death at a Funeral, Vampires Suck, Sex and the City 2, Green Zone and Killers. I don't think I really liked a single one of them. DaaF was probably the one I was least put off by but I don't know if I LIKED it. There was just a lot going on. I was disgusted by SatC2, honestly. I loved the first one, hated the second. The rest were pretty boring. I'd have liked Killers if the script wasn't so up and down. The concept had potential, for sure.

Doing a little better emotionally this week, I think. Sort of. I think I'm back to not feeling anything again. I have an exercise I have to complete for my next meeting with the therapist on Tuesday and I've been trying to think about it for the past two weeks. Evaluating my life is hard.

I'm trying to keep some stuff on my plate right now. I have a movie date Tuesday and Friday I'm going out with the girls from work. I'll see if Saturday the group will go out to Pirhana 3d.

I haven't posted since I've been back from New York. Finally got home around 2am Thursday morning. I got sick in the last couple days of our trip, I'm thinking from all the little shits on the subway who don't COVER THEIR MOUTHS WHEN THEY COUGH. UGH. Alisha got sick, too, and as far as I know she's still laid up with it as she didn't get to the going away party for a friend on Friday. I only stayed for a little bit as it was because my cold was all up in my brain. I'm feeling better now but still booger-y and cough-y and whatnot.

Got a second degree sunburn on one arm also, which was fun. That was even with 70 sunblock, but I guess I wasn't consistent with it. Right now it's a gross, cracked mess and is all scrunchy and kinda hurts when I lift my arm. FUN.

Took lots of photos in the first few days but then I got sick of carrying my big camera around and the little one had focusing problems so I let Alisha and Todd take over on that front. I haven't even looked at the ones I took yet.

I loved my time in New York, although I was definitely happy to come home after spending a solid week with two other people with very little alone time. Now that I'm done with that trip it's time for me to start thinking about LIFE things, about where I want to go with things, if I want to move, if I want to change careers and, if so, to what, etc. It's a bit daunting and was before the trip but moreso now because I realized on the trip that I feel as though I have no passion for anything. I don't know how to explain it. It's something I'll have to talk to my therapist about.

Attention New Yorkers on my Flist!! I'm going to be in the city starting on the 21st and I'm SO EXCITED! Perhaps there could be a meetup or dinner or something arranged?

I'm realizing now that where we're staying is going to be a bit of a hinderance to us but not too much of one, I hope. It's going to be a LOOOOOONG trek from the Newark airport all the way over to Queens (which I found out thanks to a website linked to me by itsthedetails. I kind of wish now that we HAD chosen a hotel in New Jersey but I don't know if it really would have mattered much in the long run. Once we get into the city or where we're going every day we won't care, I don't think.

We fly in on the 21st and I'm sure that once we get there on Wednesday we'll venture out a bit in the neighbourhood but I don't think we'll be doing anything too strenuous or touristy since it'll take us a bit to get to the hotel and nerves may be frayed. But Thursday? Watch out NYC! I want to shop, shop, shop. And then shop some more! We want to go to the Moma and the Museum of American History (pardon me if I'm butchering the names), maybe the Bronx zoo.

Can anyone suggest some good vintage places or funky clothing stores in the city that I should check out? Or some antique shops or just quirky things stores?

Okay. Trillian has been bombarding me of late with messages from AIM saying that version I was using as going to expire in a couple days. That was about two weeks ago. I said fuck it and just downloaded AIM again. It's the only one I've used in the past. I also got a new screen name.

So if you're interested in adding me your AIM buddy list my new name is makemyownfun. I added a couple people from my old buddy list but since it's so outdated now I didn't add everyone.
