Anyone else not able to click on the Facebook or Twitter crosspost options in the comment/post box?

Did LJ get the message and actually freeze their little project at the behest of thousands of users? Could it be? There's nothing in the [livejournal.com profile] news post or any new entries so I hope I'm not just on crack.

Hopefully it stays frozen.

either that, or it was as ill tested as it was conceived, and has gone kaplooey. Either works.

if it has gone kaplooey I'm dismayed by the lack of explosions or fireworks. At the very least a "poof".

I think it's like that because they have it set to a default where the stupid feature isn't active until you actually turn it on - it's gray because you can't use something that's turned off. I just want the boxes to go away, since I never plan on giving them either my twitter or Facebook address anyway!

No, it was definitely functional before. People have been testing it out to find out exactly what it does. I think LJ disabled it for the moment since everyone's gone ballistic on them.

Really? Weird, it was always gray for me and I'd assumed it was just because I had never turned it on. Either way, it's yet another fabulous example of LJ implementing all kinds of stuff nobody wants without asking and then realizing, "Oh! Maybe it's a good idea to at least give people a little WARNING before we do those things!" Thanks, LJ. As if the zombie goat wasn't enough.

To me Frank always looks like he's crying. Like he's in pain and crying, asking for someone to put him out of his misery. Who can blame him?

I'd probably cry too if, in addition to being the official mascot for this site, I had to put up with them parading my personal life around to distract from the fail in every [livejournal.com profile] news post. :(

Yup, totally just went through this same thought process. It was functional for me before, too. After testing it with Twitter, the box becomes available again when you activate the connect between the two sites.

I think they just addressed the concern that people didn't want to have to push tab twice. -_-
