First off-
spn_freshblood passed along the CW's contact number. By now most people have heard that after the new
Supernatural episodes will air they're taking it off the schedule (not permanently!) to make way for
Reaper reruns after
Smallville. While that's fine and dandy, and a nice attempt to get new viewers, it's a little maddening to see them NOT do the same for SPN.
I called between 5-6pm-ish Jan 7th and someone was at the switchboard to direct my call to the ... something line. Viewer's... something? I forget. While I wasn't able to talk to anyone directly I WAS able to leave a message that will reportedly be listened to, transcribed and passed on to the people in charge. I left a very polite, positive message explaining that I was calling from Canada, I loved the show and I would really, REALLY like to see reruns continue to air since
Reaper is being given that opportunity. I didn't leave my phone number but I might call back later in the week and try to get someone on the phone, just to be able to relay my concerns and hopes in person. The original post is
here at
spn_freshblood and explains where the number came from and someone else's (positive) experience calling.
The number is 1-818-977-2500 if you want to call and leave a short, upbeat and--above all--polite and respectful message. This isn't just about getting the show in reruns after the new episodes are done, this is also about showing how much we love the show and want it locked into place on the schedule for the future (however that will play out). From the account at the post I linked from
spn_freshblood the woman from CW who called the fan back was surprised at how eager fans were to see the show in reruns, how dedicated the fanbase was. That's really sad and just another reason to call and get your voice out there in support of the show.
Secondly, I has caps! SPN 3.08 caps will be coming soon, I hope, but my internet is slooooooooow right now and it's like pulling teeth to ul/dl. So, in the meantime, have some
Gossip Girl caps. Once I can get my hands on the rest of the eps I'll be capping those ones, too.
* 1280x720 caps

* The biggie-
NO HOTLINKING. Don't be a bastard and make me replace my sample caps with a bright and gaudy "I'm a thief, ask me how!" message.

Eeee!
spn_j2_bigbang is almost ready to kick off for round 2! I have a few ideas that I need to work out but I'm going to give my all to get it done again this year! :D But it WON'T be another monster like last year! I also signed up for
abouttwoboys,
dontbendthatway,
spn_apocasmut and my Sweet Charity fic #2 to worry about. I think the death!ficathon and the picture prompt challenge might be delayed a little bit, maybe until next month. By then the deadline can be into March and we can get these other things out of the way. The death!ficathon will likely be first, since that one was voted to be first, and then it'll hopefully free up more time later in the winter for people to do the picture prompt challenge. I was thinking of signing up for a Gossip Girl fic exchange, too, but I don't know... *marge simpson grumble*
I made a lot of progress on the fanmix meme from before Christmas! These things are turning into real fanmixes!
I checked Walmart for a calendar today and they were still 8$. To hell with that, I'll wait until they're cheaper, thanks.
