To the five people who got in for interest icons I haven't started them yet but I will. I'm slow like that, sorry.

No bigbang progress to report--not yet, anyway. I always seem to want to write in the wee hours of the morning.

I'm contemplating getting deeper into the Gossip Girl fandom. I could write fic there, I think. Serena/Chuck all the way, baby!

But not the requests. I've just posted 35 icons over at momentofglee.

I didn't realise I had quite that many icons. :| It's taken me about two hours to upload, sort, figure out what's request and what isn't, get the icon table thing to work, upload the headers and the wallpaper, add stuff, write stuff.... 1. How did you first hear about SPN? And when did you start watching?

I'd heard about it vaguely during the first half of the first season. I'd heard of "Wincest" but nothing more than that, really, and wasn't even sure if we got the show up here in Canada on our channels. When I was home over Christmas break of 2005 I caught most of 1x05 "Bloody Mary" and thought it was a pretty cool show. I wanted to try and catch it when it was on back at school but the weird time I knew it was on (Saturday at 6pm on Space, then) prevented me from catching it again. I saw it... somewhere at a place that will remain.... nameless and managed to get the pilot episode dled.

Thursday, February 9th 2006 I watched the pilot episode and by the end of the episode, with Sammy's words, "We've got work to do." I was BEYOND hooked. Queer as Folk had been over since may of 2005 and I was despertaly hanging onto that fandom because I had nowhere else to go. I was afraid of losing the people I chatted with, people to hang out with online, and it made me sad to see people leave the QaF fandom because they had somewhere to go and I didn't. And then SPN came along and BAM! I became a "dirty fandom dumper" as minorfourth called me. But then I dragged her into SPN with me and all was well. The (very long) end.

2. We all have our squee-moments over Jared and Jensen. Post your absolute favourite (one only!) picture of the two.

3. Which character would you least like to wake up next to without being able to remember how you got there?

Oh god. Probably.... the demon? Because then there's the possibility that you're waking up after a year or more of having your body being taken over by his "children". Or hell, him. It. Whatever. And losing that kind of control is terrifying.

4. Your favourite brotherly quote so far?

"Only he gets to call me that." That might not even be my favourite but it definitely stands out (and I didn't even watch 2x03 tonight!). It was the ultimate.

5. There are a lot of shippers in this fandom, as well as quite a few non-shippers. What is your view on Wincest?

mcfeste actually asked me about this and why I ship them last week so this is probably as good a time as any to talk all this out, if only for myself.

( I'm a Wincester and I'm cutting this because it turned into somewhat of a meta on Sam and Dean and the implications of incest and questioning the issue of it, and talking about why I like Sam/Dean, etc )

That got really freaking long. So long, in fact, that I have to go to bed ASAP because I have an interview for a job in seven hours! At a tiling place! Who knows, this could be my destiny! *snort*

I'm sloooooowly working on the interest icons. I'm attempting to try new things, break out of this rut that I seem to be in. Other matters of business- all my icons to this point (good and bad) can be found now at my vid site A S S C O W. It was another procrastination project I was working on over the past week. Steadily, anyway.

Also, qaf_optimists has been formed. After the wank and the freak-out over spoilers I felt like I was in a minority of people who was actually looking forward to S5 and who want to believe the best for the end of the show. So if you're one of those people, looking for a safe, spoiler-free, freak out-free environment, go join.

Erm... I think there was something else, but alas, I've forgotten. Obviously not important.

I've already posted some of these but they're all being posted so I can put this in my memories. As you can see, I'm trying different things and like doing it with the same bases. I'm still learning techniques and things that I like.
