Where is my [livejournal.com profile] lucie_inthesky? She told me to wait to watch 506 till today so she could watch it with me and then I was sleeping and she wasn't around and now she's offline and her internets might have eaten her or her cats might have gone crazy and started mauling her and OMG I NEED LUCIE!

Erm... right.

I think I saw ONE cap somewhere of this guy that Brian chased all episode and I THINK he might have had a name but I can't for the life of me think of what it was, if I did indeed see a name, but all I know is that when I saw him I was all- oh shit trouble. He just... he's... he looks EVIL! And greasy, but that's beside the point.

Justin clearly isn't happy. And Brian is clearly being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole. CLEARLY things aren't all hunky dory in Jus-Bri-tin-an-land. And then that greasy guy had to go and brush Brian off and trigger all of his insecurities and fuck everything up. Woe.

The Hunter/Ben/Michael storyline was interesting and heart wrenching all at once. I mean, who can't relate to Hunter's high school angst at least a little? Sure, it's not over the same thing but I'm sure every single one of us had something they were desperately trying to hide in high school, fearing exposure. And poor Hunter, his worst fear has been realized.

The Emmett storyline... well, it's interesting, I guess. I really like him as the Queer Guy and I really liked the producer or whoever he is of the news until he totally went off on Emmett about talking about sex on air. Then again, if Brian hadn't triggered Emmett due to his own pissiness than none of it would have happened. Probably. Maybe. Well, at least not for awhile. But yeah, it sucks at how the producer over-reacted but at the same time the news broadcast is the six o'clock one. Hmm. Tough call.

Lindsay and Melanie. Shades of reconcilement, I see (or assume, at least). I really don't want them to get back together. I want them to stay separated and meet some new people. Does everything HAVE to end all happy and shiny? I really do like Lindsay's hair though.

Deb and Carl's sub-plot was fun. We all knew that Deb couldn't stay away from the diner for long, right? I mean, seriously? What else can they DO for her character by this point? Hard to deveop a whole new lifestyle for her in (*sob*) seven episodes.

The Ted sub-plot? Probably the funnest one out of the bunch for me, if for nothing else other than to see Scott Lowell looking buff and holy hell hot. Seriously. HOT. Hellooooo Scotty/Teddy. You keep on keeping on with your sexy self!

Why is Callie still around? Are they intending to use her as the force that brings Hunter back to salvation or some shit? Will she dump her boyfriend and actually be with Hunter as she CLEALY likes him better? What's up with that? *sigh* If I'm supposed to like her, let me like her, dammit!

The Brian/Justin scenes were so sad. It was like watching a couple on the verge of divorce. Not communicating, both so half-hearted. Gah! It's almost worse than watching the episodes at the end of s2. All the emphasis on change this season, on letting go of the past and stepping into the future and embracing all that means- wow. I know the supposed theme for s4 was the boys growing up but this is really it- and them resisting and accepting and having problems over it all.

Brian sees everyone around him changing and evolving and stepping into new roles in their lives that he's just not a part of. If he had given Justin a drawer way back in s1 he would have been on par with everyone else, if not ahead of the game. But it's taken him ths long to even admit that much of his relationship with Justin. And now that everyone else is just racing by and Justin's looking on with hope and near-longing, Brian feels the pressure. Even more so that he's starting to be rejected and played by all the tricks who even a year ago wouldn't have thought about saying no to him. He's always feared growing old and now it's becoming a reality. Just when he starts to make allowances there are new demands that he's not ready to make.

It's all SO SAD! How many people cried at the end of 506? Hands? Anyone? Just me? Yes? No?

I adore this season. Even at the times when I want to strangle some of the characters (most of the time Michael as I'm having issues over the way he's being written and things he's saying, and now Brian too, for being so oblivious or just making sure he's obviously oblivious) I love the progression of the season so far. I still feel that the dispute between Mel and Linds and Michael was resolved too easily and that it was lame to begin with (well, until the lawyers got involved, anyway) and I will be somewhat disappointed if the lesbians have a quick reconciliation but for the most part I'm loving it. Love love love.

I wonder what next week will bring. I'm so totally happy that I'm unspoiled for this season. Aaaaamazing.

[ETA] Just a little comparison with pictures for Ted in 506.

Hubba hubba. Hellooooo Scott Lowell.

I applied for a supervisor position at work. Concessions supervisor, to be exact. I've been thinking about it for awhile but it was just a race between two of my co-workers who have both been there for longer than me (one for way longer and the other just a year) but then I heard that one wasn't applying after all or that she might not do it till right before the deadline and the other, while he has been there for awhile and has an edge on me by being trained in one place I'm not, may be a bit - not immature exactly but just... needing to grow up a little, I guess. I don't know if I stand a good chance but I think I do a little. I don't even know if I want the job. Being CS means you get shit on by EVERYONE. One of my other co-workers said that he's rather "be kicked in the junk" than take a CS position. But I think I'd do a good job. Or I hope I would anyway.

It's more just getting my name in there right now so they know I'm interested for when/if another one comes up sometime soon. We'll see what happens. Think happy thoughts, all.

Seriously though. Ted's looking GOOD.

It's all SO SAD! How many people cried at the end of 506? Hands? Anyone? Just me? Yes? No?

I was on the verge of it, for real. So heartbreaking.

I adore this season. Wow. Thank you. I keep getting the feeling that everyone hates or dislikes it, and I just can't. I really like it so far, and it's good to see that I'm NOT the only one.

I still feel that the dispute between Mel and Linds and Michael was resolved too easily and that it was lame to begin with (well, until the lawyers got involved, anyway) and I will be somewhat disappointed if the lesbians have a quick reconciliation but for the most part I'm loving it. I felt that way too. When they got to the end it just kinda...stopped. And then a week later they're all buddy-buddy haging out again? It felt really fast.

I wonder what next week will bring. I'm so totally happy that I'm unspoiled for this season. Aaaaamazing.

Me TOO. I keep feeling the urge, but with each episode I'm more happy that I've been able to resist the temptation. I really don't want to know how it's going to end.

It makes me sad that people feel this way. I can see how some people might still be riding a down wave from s4 but I just figure there has to be a low point somewhere, and that was it. But in hindsight I don't think s4 was as bad as I first thought it was. I'm going to love every minute as much as I possibly can because it's all over soon enough. *whimper!sob*

I felt that way too. When they got to the end it just kinda...stopped. And then a week later they're all buddy-buddy haging out again? It felt really fast.

Yeah, I hope they don't transition into something else really fast and let this even out a little. I realize there are only 13 episodes to work with but still, it's too abrupt.

I really don't want to know how it's going to end.

The longer I don't know, the longer I can float down De Nile. ;)

I agree with you on many of the comments you made about 506. You may want to check out my LJ--and read my take on the ep. Thanks for sharing your thoughts--I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same episode as others when I read their thoughts.

OMG MARI I'M ALIVE!!!!!!

My power went out last night about 10 minutes after I got home -- can you fucking believe that?! Sigh. Oh well. I'm glad you watched 506. It hurt, didn't it?! I was all about to cry by the end, with Brian just ripping his shirts off and throwing them on the bed like that, one after another, and Justin being all " :| ". And by the way, DEAR JUSES DOES HE NEED THAT MANY BLACK SHIRTS?!?!

Oh, and Ted = hot. Even in 116 he was still pretty hot, under all that boring exterior. Now, yeah. He's going with it.

And good luck with the job thing. I'm thinking about applying for a different shift myself :).... :|

I agree with you on ALL counts... and did you see what's coming up on next week's episode? I rewound the preview of Justin leaving, like, eight times because I needed a good cry.

... Did you see Brian's face? You'll find the picture in the dictionary under "heartbreak". Or, possibly under "WTF?"

Actually, I have to DL the eps and don't get a preview for the next week. I'm totally spoiler free as well, so this spoiled me some. :(

I'm not mad, just disappointed. You might want to be careful in the future about what you post in certain journals because there are some of us trying to stay as spoiler-free as possible for the rest of the eps. Just a heads up.
