You know, I have 30+ people on my AIM buddy list who I've never contacted. I ask for AIM names so I can someday, you know, IM them but I never do. I'm kind of a crap conversationalist when I don't know the people don't well but the best way around that? To TALK to them. Simple and obvious, right?

So I'm going to IM someone randomly tonight. Don't know who and I don't know when cause there's not many people on right now and I have to go make dinner but, dammit, I'm going to. And I'd like to challenge all of you to do it, as well.

I don't want to declare this so much as suggest this to be IM someone you don't know or don't know well day. We ALL have the names of people on our IM lists we don't know well and who we've always wanted to talk to but never worked up the nerve to for whatever reason, so take a stab at it and just send a message that says something like, "Hey, I'm so-and-so. I've had you on my buddy list for awhile now and I thought I'd say hi!"

My AIM name is Marishnas. If you're cool with leaving your IM s/n here, comment to the post so someone else can IM you. If anyone actually leaves their s/n, scroll through and find someone you've always wanted to talk to off-LJ and send them a message. Betcha they won't bite. And if they do, who knows? Maybe you'd like it. ;)

In other news, I'm seriously starting to freak out that I won't get my BigBang done on time. :|

Ok, I guess I'm weird. I have hardly anyone on my buddy list. I just feel like I'm fairly boring. And easily distracted (as you know).

my main problem with IMin'g people is that I have a LOT of new people on my messengers and I don't know who they are :S I mean, they are all people on my friendslist but the IM names don't always look anything similar to their LJ names. And it's so confusing and I'm too embarrassed to just hit someone up going, "yo' hey, who are you btw?" *snort*

Also yeah, I do have you on my list and your name is like your LJ name but I don't think we've ever chatted. I'm like you that I don't generally strike up conversations to people I haven't talked to before and sort of just wait for them to make the first move. lol.
