It's been a quiet day here (I slept until quarter after 11!) and we did the present thing relatively calmly and quickly, then breakfast and have just been sitting around all day, which is nice. Quiet, easy. Dinner will be chicken, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, homemade stuffing and a pie with ice cream this evening.

My mom suggested we get showered and dressed to go air the stink of us, so to speak, and take a walk. I asked why because then we might have to talk to neighbours and whatnot. "Christmas is for family, not for talking to random people on the sidewalk." My mom laughed and I have retained my title as family hermit and future crazy cat lady.

[livejournal.com profile] yuletide fics went up last night. This is my first year participating and maybe my only. I'm not nearly as excited for it as other people have been and I just don't know if this is my thing. We'll see over the course of the year and what fandoms I'm still/will get involved with 12 months from now. :) If anything, this experience has opened me up to the possibility of writing in other fandoms, even if I'm not totally gung-ho over the shows to begin with. I don't know, it's a wait and see, although I have kind of been playing with the idea of writing something in the Gossip Girl fandom.

This is the House of Wax fic that was written from my requests, People Who Live in Wax Houses. It's pretty fun! It's Wade/Nick.

I pretty much just wanted to post and say:

Merry Christmas!

Plz to be posting again now, my flist has been too quiet! I miss you all!

*sits on hands and waits for Doctor Who torrent to pop up and then the 15,000 hours it'll take to dl it*
