ohnotheydidnt post and somehow started talking with someone about Christopher Pike books. Well, one thing led to another and I've just bought three lots of those books from ebay. I am SO JAZZED! They're not complete but it has a lot of the ones I remember. AND, as luck would have it, the publishing company is rereleasing the whole The Last Vampire mini-series, much as LJ Smith's The Vampire Diaries were in the past year.
The first three in the Christopher Pike series were released just a couple weeks ago and the last three will be out in January. So it's weird how all of this is coming together.
A couple other points of interest (well, to me).
01) There were probably around 200 seagulls in the school soccer field across the street from me. I love birds but jesus.
02) The Beautiful Life looks TERRIBLE with a side of horrific. I think The Vampire Diaries is going to kill my childhood and I will still watch it over TBL.
[ETA]03) Claim 3 days of PAID LJ TIME here as a sorry for the downtime last week due to the DDoS attack. LJ didn't have to but it's nice of them.
a) Sookie's in extra rare form tonight. When Eric could have been dying she turned her nose up at him. Then flipped out like a 5 year-old prissy bitch. THEN called her brother dumb with a nice backhanded comment.
b) Can we talk about that convo between Sookie and Jason? It was AWKWARD from a viewer's perspective. I don't know. Maybe it's just because she was looking at him in a way that I picture someone with a romantic interest in someone would look or maybe it's because I find him hotter than hot. It was just really squirmy weird.
c) Hey there, Sookie's boob. Missed ya. Although, seeing as how I found that little dream sequence between her and Eric the hottest thing since... well, I don't know if I've ever found Bill and Sookie particularly engine revving so this was a treat. If we get more of that I'll take the boob.
d) I've heard, over the past few episodes, that Michelle Forbes is like--the guest star of UGH. I don't know how true this is, as from what I can recall this is the only thing I've seen her in. But I caught a little bit of an episode of Durham County last night and she was in that. And she was, I think, a bitch. And there seemed to be a lot of ~drama~ around her. Which leads me to believe that she causes massive eyerolls in most things she's in.
That said, I liked Maryann's green top last night. Everything else can go diaf.
e) Even sorting through the caps made me want to push Sookie into a wall. She was just SO DUMB AND HORRIBLE in this episode. Until the end, that is. The end was really very touching and sad. I understand why things had to happen the way they did. Sookie with Eric's blood, her attraction, seeing Eric's loyalty and vulnerability when it comes to Godric... *sigh* It's so obvious and yet I can't fight the glee I feel when I think about Sookie finally giving into Eric. But then I feel the immediate frustration because Bill's still going to be there and Sookie's going to be all shocked and angry and goddamn, it's all so tiring.
f) I was super sad to see Godric go. I suppose he served his purpose but he was ADORABLE! Ah, well. Maybe he'll be resurrected or some shit. Seeing Eric break down over his death was a nice scene although I'm super torn about what's to come with him and Sookie and Eric and that whole clusterfuck.
