Okay, so the only reason why I bothered to buy and cap this movie is because I happened to see Katie Cassidy on the back cover. Otherwise I would have lived a rich and full life, never have seen this movie. It wasn't... bad, I guess, but it was far from good. It's a remake of the 1979 original and I'm sure that while it wouldn't have stood up to the 2008 idea of what a suspenseful and thrilling movie is, this doesn't represent it either. There were a lot of fade shots from one scene to another to represent the passage of time but there's only so many times you can see Jill (the main character) reading a text book on the couch, leaning against the window, looking at the phone, etc, before you want to scream- OKAY! We get it! SHIT IS HAPPENING! It's just not INTERESTING shit.
Anyway. The acting wasn't... horrible but the main character wasn't a genius (okay, she was dumber than rocks) so that doesn't endear me to her or the actress playing her. There were a lot of moments throughout the movie that you have to facepalm to keep yourself from smacking your computer screen in hopes of knocking some sense into Jill.
Would I sit through another movie like this if KC were in it? Well, I sat through Devour which means I didn't learn my lesson the first time, so apparently so.
