I went a bit crazy with the capping tonight. I'm trying to find new The Vampire Diaries things to cap. For being such a successful show (for the CW) the fandom is actually pretty small. But then I'm spoiled, coming from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural. The next smallest fandom I've been in is Queer as Folk and the abundance of crazy seemed to make up for the fewer number of fans.

Maybe it's just because I haven't found a group in the fandom yet? I dunno. We'll see what happens.

Okay, the Lady Gaga video? I... don't get it. I mean, if there's something to get. I think I'm getting old, for reals. I really like the song (didn't when I first heard it months ago but it's grown on me), and the colours are so bright in the video which is an instant win for me.

But why the Pussy Wagon from Kill Bill? was that the real one? Was this supposed to be a cross homage to that and Thelma and Louise and Natural Born Killers or something? Why all the product placement, as well? I mean, did the producers and Gaga & Beyonce need that much cash to supplement the vid? It was BLATANT product placement, too. Not just a brief flash of the phone or the camera. Real focus on them. Doesn't make me want to run out and buy a Virgin phone (had one, not all that great) or a Polaroid and WTF Plenty of Fish?! Okay.

I like the song, I like the pretty, pretty colours. Case closed.

I dled Mariah Carey's new video that's only been released in Europe, or something, I don't know what the exact details are, but I made some quick caps of it as I watched before I deleted it. Not the best in the world, as the video wasn't the best, and there are programme tags but with the right cropping the caps can be useful.

Today I learned that if you post a news item pertaining to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes having a baby on ohnotheydidnt, as I did here- you WILL be swamped with comments and you WILL wish you'd turned off comment emailing. But I'm far too anal to have it off for an extended period of time, so that wouldn't have helped anyway.

But hey! Tom Cruise is having a turkey-baster baby with still!virgin Katie Holmes! They'll name it Xenu and live happily ever after on their spaceship. Fun times.
