I'm sick right now. It came on quite suddenly yesterday and now I'm all, "Whaaaa, deaddeaddead help me...." I'll be fine by tomorrow or Friday, I'm sure. It's just that annoying full-head, snotty-nose, kinda-swollen, achey all over feeling that I'm having right now. Blah.

So...

I was quite amused by the opening show at Babylon. Poor, bitter Teddy. So funny, so platinum. I don't mind the Babylon storyline. It seems a little half-baked at the moment but once business starts picking up again I'm sure there will be bigger, better things to do with it. Brian and Justin just don't really have much to do with the season yet, other than listening to everyone else bitch.

Michael didn't win any points with me this ep, even when he showed up at the diner send-off for Deb with flowers. I don't hate Michael's character although he does piss me off quite a bit. I guess it just seems like he's always putting his foot in his mouth over this or that and then it's brushed off a few scenes later, easy as pie. His attitude toward his mother is un-called for. His remark to Brian last week (last week? Whenever) about him not noticing Gus till he had cancer was low and mean. He... this just isn't the way I picture Michael in my mind, saying these things without learning something as a result. Anyone know what I'm getting at here? Un-even writing, perhaps? Or just faulty in general? Maybe it's the cold meds.

Not sure how long Deb will be gone from the diner. At least they're doing something with her and Carl, instead of just having them be comic inserts here and there. The Rosie storyline... meh. Whatever. At least she won't be there forever.

Could it be that we're not getting many B/J scenes because the ones we ARE getting are really great and proof positive of where they are in their relationship? You can't OD on mushy B/J love, it would ruin it all. But the little bits we do get- B: "Sunshine, how did I ever get along without you?" J: "You didn't." show how far they've come, where they are- and it works for them. And of course, Justin's suggestion saves Babylon and Brian.

Debbie's smoker interview? That lady looks kind of like I feel- including her coughing. Ew.

I'm not sure how well I'm liking Em's Queer Guy turn. Meh. Doesn't matter much to me either way.

Did it sound to anyone else like Rosie was over-enunciating some words? *shrugs*

The way that Brian said "beautiful people". OMG DEAD. Small things amuse small minds, right?

I already made my opinions on the whole custody matter clear last week but I really enjoyed the lawyer meeting this ep. I have no idea how this is going to go. I don't really care how things go with the kid but getting down and dirty with lawyers? Causing potential division amongst the whole group? That's pretty awesome. And I really liked Lindsay's hair in this scene. I really liked the colour scheme of the scene too.

Oh Randy. I love your gym butt lift. That was amazing.

And alas, clearly no summer in Pittsburgh this year. :(

Double alas, no backroom sex. :( :(

I just hope that whenever they wrap up the custody battle storyline that they do it right. I don't know what the right way is but I don't want it to be one ep and op! Everything's back to normal! Whatever though. Jenny Rebecca's chilling in her drawer, waiting to be changed out for Gus, so it's all good. Fine by me.

Now I'm going to go die or something. *wheezes*

I just said this on someone else's journal earlier today, but I'm kind of loving this whole story. It's not making me particularly like any of the three of them; I think they each have a point but that they're also each wrong at the same time. But I do a lot of litigation support work related to divorces, and this is so true to life that I can't help but love it. No matter how amicable the parties may be when these things start, so much of the time it turns into twisting of facts (like Lindsay saying that Michael lives with an HIV positive male prostitute; yeah, technically true, but Wow! way to twist things around to further your own case!) or just plain vicious back stabbing. I guess I just love it because it's playing out almost exactly the way I would expect to see it play out in real life. In fact, compared to a lot of the divorces I've worked on, so far they're being relatively decent with each other.

And I also totally agree that I want to see them continue to handle this realistically. I'm totally spoiler free, so this is just me speculating, but I will be surprised if the season ends and Melanie and Lindsay haven't gotten back together. But I hope to see the custody thing played out and come to a realistic conclusion before that happens; not just "oh, we're back together, so we drop the whole thing."

Awww... why are you sick? Don't be sick. It's not attractive.

Opening show at Babylon freaked me out. Poor Brian, trying to be enthusiastic with the circus freakshow. Poor Justin, trying to be supportive and encouraging for Brian. Poor Ted, with that poor hair!

Michael's foot-in-mouth disease? Yawn. Seen it for 4 seasons, let's get over it already, thanks.

Deb and Carl are cute, as long as there's no tongue showing. And ROSIE?! You know how much I loathe her, right? It's intense, yo.

But OMG "How did I get along without you?"!!!!!!!! TOTALLY MADE MY FUCKING YEAR!!! ♥ ♥ ♥... and of course they cut on Justin going downdowndown, to show us a lady hacking up a lung. Those editors should be shot. For rilla.

Em is cracking me up. I love him so much. But Brian's "Fags are people" and "*stage whisper*BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE" is just the best thing ever. Oh Brian. Oh Gale. How much do I love you?! My small mind was amused as well, Mari, so don't feel alone. And Justin's butt lift... that was a treat. You can tell Randy was all "I am a Broadway actor... why am I being forced to do such menial scenes?" AND I LOVE IT!!!

Now don't go dying on me yet. You still have so much to live for! Or at least, just hold out for... 10 more weeks.
