I'm playing Virtual Villagers 3: The Secret City and I just tried to raise the population by getting one of my female villagers pregnant. She 'went indoors' (the special baby-making hut is decorated with flowers) with THREE different guys, the last being the Chief, and then went to bathe right after the last encounter. She's still not pregnant.

I got nothin'.

I'm watching Titanic. Whee!

Oh, and is anyone else's LJ Addons refusing to refresh the new entries count when you refresh your flist?

Also, SPN friending meme. I commented, despite my better judgment.

I stuck my head outside a short while ago to see how cold it is as it's snowing right now and I found my keys still in my door. They've been there since about 4:30 this afternoon.

SAFETY FIRST, KIDS! *facepalm* And my roommate thinks I'm odd for always coming up with the worst, most life-threatening situations possible. Clearly she's never lived a day AS me when I do stupid shit like this.

That's 1500 more than I had when I started typing tonight. Last night I did a rough outline of the sections I'll likely have and if I follow that and just get on this I COULD hit 10,000 tonight. Maybe. I'll see. When I get too tired to type anymore and finally go to bed tonight maybe I'll do another word count and see how far I get. I still have 11 days. This is totally doable.

I decided I would, indeed, make cookies.

In my impatience to make the butter soften a little I took my mom's advice from a couple nights ago and put it in the microwave on power level 10.

Um, the wrapper around the butter is a foil-ish kind.

FIRE! FIRE IN THE KITCHEN!

I decided to leave the butter on the counter and took a longer shower instead.
