The snow has finally stopped. I think. I see there might be some rain for tomorrow but maybe it won't come. Maybe Mother Nature will realize we've had enough and bypass us. It's weird out here with the weather. It's the sunniest place in Canada so we rarely get any rain. When we get it and it lasts more than a rainstorm or a day or so people start getting stir crazy and think we're drowning. Whereas where I'm from last summer they had 21 days of rain straight and it's just a normal thing. It's annoying when it goes on for that long but we'll get rain for a few days at a time, generally, before the system moves out. Here people think the world is ending or something.
The roof has stopped leaking for now, from what I can tell. I don't know what the plan is with it or what the family intends to do. I'm probably wise to avoid asking about it just yet. The washer seems to be okay? I don't even know. The aunt told me last night that she never sets it to final spin and just takes the shit out of the washer. I'm like, but that's part of the cycle. It's why washers HAVE a final spin. And since I hang half my shit it would be nice to wring more moisture out of them so they don't take as long to dry. She's called a repair man for it but she should have called months ago when the washer was having the original problem.
I liked it better during the first viewing than I liked the first movie after my first viewing. I grew to like the first movie more after further viewings once it started playing on the movie channels we have, though. We had irritating people surrounding us through the whole thing, though. People who decided to catcall and yell things out through the whole movie along with their wives & kids and the three guys in front of us were up and down multiple times throughout.
I didn't find Scarlett Johansson as annoying as I feared I would, possibly because she wasn't the focus of the movie and she had few lines. I didn't like Pepper Potts as much as I did in the first one, though. I found her a bit shrewish and she screamed too much. She was such a worry wart, which she was in the first movie, yes, but at least she had some humour about it.
I didn't mind the story and Mickey Roarke's character was fun.
Um, that's about it.
I expected this episode to be way scarier, I think, or at least a bit edgier than alien fish. It would have been cool if they WERE vampires. I read something after last week's episode about how the BBC is getting some complaints about the stories this season, how they're a bit more than "Family fare" especially after Amy threw herself at the Doctor last week. From what I understand they've even gotten some complaints on the shortness of her skirts. Mmmkay.
Anyway. I didn't mind the episode, I was just expecting it to be a bit different. Don't know what to think about Rory and him with Amy. There's definitely no spark between them that I could see and she's so strong willed that it bowls him over. It feels a bit like Rose and Mickey but at least Mickey grew some balls eventually. I don't know if Rory will. The whole Amy/Rory thing feels like a Rose/Mickey re-tread. With him being left behind, a bit doltish and now joining in on time travel.
Don't know what to think about next week's episode.

Creeeeeeepy.

I hope they bring back the cute boy from the first ep of the season because he and the Doctor had some delcious UST happening.

He looks like Dwayne Johnson from the Tooth Fairy in that tutu, LOL. Maybe I'm not thinking of the right thing, but this is funny. Also, I liked this guy.

And his daughter was super pretty. Reminded me of Bonnie from TVD.
